This kitten has been registered with The International Cat Association (TICA). Transfer of Registration with TICA is not necessary for pet kittens but should buyer elect to do so, fees will be at buyer’s expense.
TERMS OF SALE
By signing this Agreement, Buyer and Seller agree to the following: This cat/kitten is healthy to the best of Seller’s knowledge and is free from internal and external parasites. Please keep in mind that young kittens may show signs of stress when brought into a new environment which may include sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, diarrhea or constipation. These should resolve within a few days.
This kitten has a one year guarantee against lethal genetic or congenital defects. If a lethal genetic or congenital defect presents itself within one year from date of birth, seller shall replace kitten (less spay/neuter fees and/or shipping charges, if applicable) upon being provided an necropsy/autopsy report (at buyer’s expense) from a licensed veterinary stating the unquestionable genetic or congenital defect. No vet bills will be reimbursed by Seller. In the unfortunate event where a kitten passes away from a covered condition and the health guarantee must be exercised, the kitten will be replaced with a kitten of Seller’s choosing. The same sex and color/pattern will be substituted whenever possible, but is not guaranteed. Buyer must accept replacement kitten within 6 months. Alternatively, Buyer may elect to take a refund, less the initial deposit and less spay/neuter fee or shipping/delivery costs, if applicable.
Upon receipt of kitten, Buyer has 3 days to have a complete examination performed by a licensed veterinarian of their choosing. Kitten must be kept secluded from all other pets until after examination. The one year health guarantee is void if Buyer fails to have a complete examination performed within 3 days. Upon examination, if the kitten is found to have any life-threatening illness or congenital defect, Buyer must immediately notify Seller and provide Seller with a written statement from a licensed veterinarian stating the unquestionable illness or congenital defect. Buyer agrees to give authorization for Seller to make verbal contact with examining veterinarian before replacing the kitten. Buyer must surrender kitten to Seller upon request. Seller will then replace the kitten with a comparable replacement as soon as available. All veterinary care and associated costs are the responsibility of Buyer. If legal proceedings become necessary to enforce any part of this contract, all legal proceedings will take place within County and State of Seller’s residence.
Seller agrees to have completed all of the age-appropriate vaccinations and wormings. A copy of the cat/kitten’s health record will be given to Buyer at the time of kitten pick up. Seller acknowledges that cat/kitten has no known disease, illness, congenital or hereditary condition that adversely affects the health of the cat/kitten at the time of sale and has been released by Seller’s veterinarian as being in good health. Viruses, colds, upper respiratory infections (URI’s), parasites or bacterial infections are not covered under this guarantee as they may be contracted after leaving our cattery and are not a result of genetics or breeding. ALL VET BILLS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. This kitten was vaccinated with an FVRCP modified live virus on ________________. You will give this same vaccine through your veterinarian within 4 weeks from date of last vaccine. The vaccine prevents against Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia. Kittens should only be vaccinated with “killed’ virus” or “modified live-virus” vaccines and not “live virus” vaccines. Ragdolls are sensitive to vaccines and BUYER AGREES THE KITTEN WILL NOT BE VACCINATED WITH A RABIES VACCINE AT THE SAME TIME AS ANY OTHER VACCINE AS DEATH MAY OCCUR. Seller does not warranty the cat/kitten from any adverse reactions against future vaccinations. If you have a cat which you have adopted (whether it be a stray or from a pet store or shelter), please be aware that these cats can be carriers of corona viruses and/or feline leukemia - even if they show no symptoms. It is strongly suggested that your existing cats be tested and fully vaccinated prior to introducing them to a new kitten. A young kitten’s immune system has not fully developed and viruses can be transmitted to your new kitten, possibly resulting in illness or death.
Unless altered by our vet, Buyer agrees to have the kitten spayed or neutered prior to the kitten reaching 6 months of age (______________). Seller will hold the TICA registration until proof of spay or neuter is provided. If Buyer does not provide proof of alteration prior to the kitten reaching 7 months of age, TICA registration will be destroyed and the health guarantee will be revoked. Breeding of a Big City Ragdoll without purchasing breeding rights is strictly prohibited. Seller may elect to proceed with legal action if it is discovered that Buyer is breeding a Big City Ragdoll. If legal proceedings should become necessary, Buyer acknowledges that all court proceedings shall take place in the county/state in which Seller resides. (initial) ________________
Seller makes no guarantees as to personality, size, coat or eye color. Allergies are not covered under this Contract. If Buyer cannot keep the kitten/cat for any reason, no refund or replacement will be given. Seller will assist in helping to place the kitten/cat but under no circumstances can we take the kitten/cat back as we maintain a strictly closed cattery and cannot re-introduce a cat/kitten back into our home once it has left due to the threat of exposure to viruses, parasites, fleas, etc. The health guarantee is not transferable. If the kitten is sold or given away, the health guarantee is void.
Buyer agrees this kitten will be kept strictly indoors. Allowing your Big City Ragdoll kitten outdoors where it may be exposed to diseases, fleas, ticks and parasites, voids the health guarantee. De-claw procedure of any kind is strongly discouraged and may result in other unwanted behaviors such as biting. Furthermore, declawing may cause arthritis. Declawing your Big City Ragdoll will void the health guarantee. Kittens have been using sisal rope scratching posts and a similar scratching post should be made available to discourage unwanted scratching of furniture, carpet, etc.
This kitten has been weaned using Life's Abundance (all life stages in the orange bag). It is recommended that you feed the same or better quality food.
This kitten has been litter box trained using Fresh Step Clean Paws litter. It is recommended that you use this same type of litter to avoid any future litter box issues.
If legal proceedings should become necessary, Buyer acknowledges that all court proceedings shall take place in the county/state in which Seller resides.
